Hotel Ruthmann in Oestrich-Winkel

We have been coming to this hotel regularly for a few years now. We always book the / a room with a view of the Rhine in good time, then we can also use the balcony. Unfortunately, the bathrooms are not really big. The rooms are renovated and everything is very clean! It is also very noisy. Unfortunately, when guests who cannot behave come home loudly, you can hear it in the rooms. Of course, the owner cannot do anything about that. Perhaps you can install soundproof doors as room doors? The breakfast is varied and rich. The owner couple is super friendly. Unfortunately there is no restaurant or bar, just a small self-service drinks fridge. We will be back definitely.

I have done a lot of hotels in Germany, generally I have always been satisfied. By cons I advise against this one. First surprise, a hotel restaurant that indicates that his restaurant is closed because of work ?! It would have been wise to mention it before when booking. The head of the establishment assaults us by telling us that we should not smoke in the room, that my partner must put her butt in the ashtray. Thank you, we know that the French have a negative reputation abroad but still. 2nd point: Having a 2 year old daughter, how is it that there is no child bed, that we have to climb 2 floors and why we have given a room that gives JUST above the work . Absolutely not practical for the nap of the little one. The bedding is of low quality, my partner and I had back pain. Only correct point: the breakfast ... Again in a B & B, it is included in the price of the room ..

Nice hotel! Very near the ferry from Ingelheim about 5 mins. Nice hotel, a bit old school and run down. The hotel has the basics bed, hot shower and TV. Stayed here for 4 days and everything was fine. My bed was fine too. Didn't eat breakfast at the hotel though. The owner was very friendly. However, the first day I arrived, I didn't have any internet and had to wait for like another 2 days to get a different Hotspot. They've an interesting key system and the reception is usually closed at certain times of the day. He even once asked me and my colleague to take some breakfast on our last day because he kind felt indebted.

Simple, clean and comfortable rooms with views of the river. Very kind staff, they even invited us to beers! Very good breakfast. Excellent location, next to thw ferry. Totally recommended.

I have loved the hotel, since I arrived I have found it very welcoming and the staff is very friendly. I do not know how to speak German and they have tried hard to understand me. As soon as breakfast is very good and varied. The rooms are very good with everything one might need (hairdryer, mini-fridge ...) So that there is no misunderstanding, the hotel is very good for the place where it is located and what it costs. I am delighted, if I ever have the opportunity to return I would stay here again.

Great hotel

The arrival at noon was unspectacular. The room was not ready yet, but we were able to leave the luggage. The beds are big enough and comfortable. The room is big enough, the bathroom also. The shower you could be a touch bigger. We stayed for one night, but could also imagine a longer weekend to enjoy the area. (Room 106)

There are stars for the extremely friendly staff, the view of the Rhine and the good breakfast. All of this helps over the impression that the house is getting a bit old. The mattresses have rubberized protective covers. So sweating is guaranteed to be part of sleep - unfortunately.
